Partial Reopening of the German Economy and Hospitals to Stepwise Resume Normal Operation

An update from Kalms Consulting and Kalms Operations in times of COVID-19

Dear friends, partners, and clients,

We truly hope that you, your families and friends are all still doing well.

Today, I want to share some good news from Germany: the country is set to begin reopening it’s economy by this week, April 20.

Additionally, last Friday the German minister of health announced that hospitals will start to return to their normal operation in May. The reason is that the German healthcare system has at no point been overwhelmed with Covid-19 patients and there are still 10.000 spare intensive care beds. Furthermore, the RKI (Robert-Koch-Institut) announced yesterday that the infection rate is now lower than 1 (last Friday’s estimation was 0.7) and therefore they are supporting the decision to lift the restrictions.

We at Kalms Consulting want to make you aware of these positive developments and are looking forward to supporting your business in Germany.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if there’s anything we can do for you or if you have any questions.
Please take care and stay healthy!

Best regards,
Marco Kalms, Stephan Binder
and the entire Kalms Consulting and Kalms Operations teams
